Hoya imbricata x cinnamomifolia - 4" pot

🌿 Meet the Hoya Imbricata × Cinnamomifolia

The Hoya imbricata × cinnamomifolia is an unusual hybrid that brings together two fascinating Hoya species in one seriously cool collector plant. 🌿

With Hoya imbricata in its parentage, this hybrid has a particularly interesting climbing habit, while the influence of Hoya cinnamomifolia contributes to its beautiful foliage and overall form.

It's a Hoya that's especially fun to grow vertically. Give it a board, plank, cork bark, or other climbing surface and let the plant show you what it can do as it matures.

For Hoya collectors who already have the classics and are looking for something a little different, this hybrid makes an exciting addition to the collection.

🌿 Plant Care

Give your Hoya imbricata × cinnamomifolia plenty of bright, indirect light while protecting it from prolonged harsh afternoon sun.

Allow the growing medium to partially dry between waterings. Use a chunky, airy, well-draining mix that allows plenty of oxygen around the roots rather than keeping them consistently wet.

Moderate to high humidity can encourage healthy growth, particularly while new foliage is developing. Good airflow is also beneficial.

This is a Hoya I'd especially recommend giving something to climb. A wooden plank, cork bark, trellis, or similar vertical surface can help showcase its growth habit and create a much more interesting mature specimen.

If your plant eventually flowers, leave the old flower spurs, or peduncles, intact after blooming. Hoyas can produce future flowers from these same structures.

🌿 A Little About the Hybrid

This plant combines Hoya imbricata and Hoya cinnamomifolia, two species with very different and desirable characteristics.

Hoya imbricata is particularly famous among collectors for its unusual climbing and shingling behavior, while Hoya cinnamomifolia is known for its substantial, beautifully veined foliage.

Because this is a hybrid, individual plants can express characteristics from each parent differently—which is part of what makes watching them mature so interesting.

📦 Shipping & Live Plant Information

Your plant will be carefully packed to help protect it during its journey to you.

Because plants are living things, the plant you receive will not be identical to the plants pictured. Natural differences in size, fullness, leaf shape, coloring, and growth are part of what makes every plant unique.

Young plants may not yet display all of the characteristics seen on mature specimens. Foliage and growth habit can become increasingly distinctive as the plant matures.

Minor cosmetic imperfections or temporary shipping stress can occur during transit. Give your new plant time to acclimate to its new environment after arrival.
